Triangle ride. Little Neck Parkway and the LIE service road weekends at 8.30. Pretty social until it heads north, when they make the turn onto Turkey Lane it gets tough. Saturday is easier than Sunday. Usual mix of characters, some smooth, some sketch. Mostly nice guys, some bozos, basically what you get anywhere.
Anyone have any more info, please comment...

Smaller and almost non-existent off-season , our group leaves a half hour ahead of the fast(er) guys. 20 to 30 riders or more on warm days, usually breaks up as a lead group pushes the pace. Turkey is also a place where the men are separated from the boys.
A very international flavor exists here and a host of languages can be heard along the way.

I stopped riding the Triangle ride. It seems there is a crash almost every week on that ride due to riders who have no idea how to ride. The vast majority of the riders are good riders but there is always one idiot who can't keep up and feels the need to squeeze up on the right. Also pretty poor ride for pointing out holes in the road.
